New Friends?

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I love having the blogging community to fall back on for constant support. You guys are awesome :-)

Anyways, tomorrow I am 27wks pregnant. That means I will be starting my third trimester. How crazy is that?! Time is absolutely flying. I will post a picture soon of my growing belly. I got my blood glucose results and everything came back normal so no gestational diabetes for me. Woo hoo! I am slightly anemic though so I have to start taking an iron supplement daily. I'm hoping this might help with my constant hunger problem. We'll see.

I also wanted to know if anyone had any weightloss/fitness blogs that they enjoy reading that you think I might enjoy as well. I'm looking to add some blogs to my reader for more inspiration. If you have any suggestions that would be great!

Hope you are all having a wonderful Monday!

  2. Sounds like you're doing pretty good in spite of the mood swings (I remember those). Hope the next 13 weeks go well for you. Just think more than 2/3's through.

  3. Tyr increasing Whole-grain Cerela intake.

Firstly the Beta-glucan could help lower Cholesterol, but Whole-grain is the best source of Iron in plant matter and if you buy the large Biscuit type cereal, buying the larger boxes is the cheapest way and you cna more easily monitor how much you eat, which mini biscuits, flakes, shredded, etc etc, are harder to monitor the use of.

Plus the Folate in Whole-grains, can help cut the risk of Birth defects, incase you maybe weren't aware.

Yes Whole-grain has non-heam, so only 5-10% absorption, not 15-20% like Heam, but if you include a Vit C supplement or Capsicum in your diet you can boost iron uptake anyway.

Same thing with Beans, Mushrooms, etc etc, which contain copper that helps with the way Iron is used for one thing.

This might help you wih the Anemia issues. It's the cheapest way I can see, as opposed to consuming more Animal or Fish Flesh instead.

    Keep going and GOOD LUCK.

    :-) :-).
